Programmes / Events

Currently our services include:
• 0800 AVIVA NOW (0800 28482 669), a free phone line for anyone needing safety, information or advice 24 hours a day
• Individual support for women, children, young people and men and help accessing other agencies or services
• Family safety planning
• Access to Ministry of Justice approved education programmes
• Shine safe@home which improves the physical security of the homes of those who are at highest risk of repeat family violence
• ReachOut specialist support for men who have caused family violence
• Specialist individual and group support for young people experiencing anger issues
• Specialist peer support from those who have overcome family violence to others on their own journey. Peer support training is also available for those who wish to support others in their own community
• No and low interest loans for those who are on a limited incomes and cannot access mainstream finance
• Community development, education and training
• Sexual Assault Support Service Canterbury (SASSC; provided in partnership with START) provides 24/7 support for adult victims of recent or historic rape and/or sexual assault.
