The Learning Centres are technology-rich education resource centres which aim to extend horizons and develop confident, creative and collaborative learners through a dynamic technological environment. They provide programmes for all learners from preschool to older adult. The programmes are designed to support and help customers develop the skills they may need to make better use of new technologies to improve their access to and use of information. Programmes also support teachers, families and students in their literacy and numeracy education. Examples include digital photography, family history research, CV writing, newsletter creation, beginner computer sessions, introduction to iPads, using online auctions, using Google and learning to research more cleverly, computer animation and graphics, creative writing and digital stories, movie making and school holiday programmes. Special programmes can be developed with schools and community groups to support specific learning goals or requirements
