Bromley Community Centre

Bromley Community Centre is a wahi huihuinga, or gathering place. It is a community hub that offers a range of programmes, activities and events that are actively promoted and provided to members of the local community. Our vision is to establish, develop, and administer community facilities in Bromley and surrounding areas, to foster the growth of community spirit, and to encourage local people to participate in social, recreational, educational, cultural, and other such activities

Outside of usual office hours and outside of times booked by regular users or community groups, the Centre can be hired for private events such as wedding receptions or birthday celebrations. The hire fees are very affordable when compared to other venue options, and with minimal advertising the Centre is generally booked for private weekend evening events two to three months in advance. Word of mouth and a good reputation sees many residents of Bromley and surrounding areas make use of the facilities for wedding receptions, birthday celebrations, cultural gatherings, Annual General Meetings, family reunions, and even funeral wakes, given the Centre’s proximity to the nearby crematorium and funeral home.
